Help Us Get 70 More Backpacks Into the Hands of Local Kids
$30 fills one backpack with everything a student needs for the first day of school.
Every August, Capitol County Children's Collaborative sends local kids back to school with more than just a backpack - they get school supplies, food, and a community standing behind them at our annual Schools Back event on Wednesday, August 26.
This year, we've secured 280 backpacks. Our goal is 350. That means we need to raise
$2,100 to fill the last 70 — and we're counting on our community to help close the gap before the 26th.
$30 sponsors one fully stocked backpack for a student who needs it. Every dollar goes directly toward supplies for kids in our community, many of whom are heading back to school without the basics they need to start strong.
Families who register are guaranteed a spot, but we also welcome anyone who shows up on event day - first come, first served - because no family should walk away empty-handed.
